Big Question: What is identity? How do portraits reveal aspects of people’s identities?
Virtual Destination(s): National Portrait Gallery
Session 1: Students explore what identity is, explore their own identities, and share parts of their identity with one another.
Session 2: Students choose a particular portrait to examine and understand how portraits include aspects of identity before creating their own self portrait using parts of their identity.
