1. State Variable-Based Observation, Automatic Control, And Analysis of Pressurized Water Reactor Steam Generator Steam Pressure (Graduation Project), PSU - Spring 2017
   • Developed and simulated a simplified lumped-parameter PWR model using Simulink ®, then used the model to design a steam pressure state-feedback regulator and compared it to a conventional PI controller.
2. Estimating Ion-Irradiation-Induced hardening of Nuclear Fuel Clad Using SRIM, PSU – Fall 2016
   • Used the Monte Carlo based code, SRIM ®, to investigate and compare the radiation damage due to ion-irradiation-induced hardening between Zircaloy-4 and AISI 348.
3. Effects of Spacer-Grid Mixing Vanes on the Flow in a PWR 5x5 Rod Bundle, PSU - Summer 2016
   • Simulated a PWR rod bundle using the CFD code, ANSYS Fluent ®, to study the effects of mixing vanes on the flow hydrodynamic and thermal characteristics.
4. Geometric Effects of 45-Deg Elbow in Horizontal Bubbly Flow (Team Project), PSU- Fall 2015
   • Used the data obtained from an experiment to investigate the effects of a 45-deg elbow on the development and distribution of local two-phase flow parameters in horizontal bubbly flow.
5. Health Physics Applied to Space Travel, PSU - Fall 2015
   • Studied the feasibility of a manned mission to Mars by investigating space radiation environment, biological effects resulting from such exposure, and current related regulations.
6. The Facts behind Three Mile Island Accident (Capstone Project), TESU - Fall 2014
   • Investigated the accident events, aftermath, causes, and the adequacy of corrective actions taken.
   • Delivered an oral presentation about the accident cleanup efforts.
