Times Tables Homework

This practice should be for 5 minutes, 5 times per week. Children will be learning their times tables through TTRockstars. Each week, teachers will check TTRockstars and set the times tables that children need to learn for the following week. This is part of the garage section (see below). We will be running a parent and child workshop (Thursday 25th September at 2pm) to introduce TTRockstars.

We test times tables using TTRockstars. This will start during the week beginning the 15th September. Children will be tested on the following days:

3E - Thursday

3H - Friday

3R - Wednesday

Please see below for a guide to support your child at home.

1) Find your child’s heat map under ‘Stats’. This shows you the facts your child needs to practise.

When the facts are green/orange, the child is confident.
When the facts are red, the child needs more practise.
Any that aren’t coloured, haven’t been set or haven’t been answered yet.

2) Practice in the 'Garage'. These times tables are set by your teacher.

Practising in the garage will enable your heat map to change.

3) Practise in the 'Studio'. This is where you can practise all of the times tables.

Completing 10 sessions in the studio will set your rock speed.

4) 'Jamming'. This is where you can choose any times tables to practise.

This will not impact your heatmap so make sure to continue to learn the times tables in the garage and studio too.
Jamming is good for confidence and gaining speed with times tables.

Please ask your teacher for help if you are unsure or contact us via the class email. We will hold a TTRockstars workshop during the Autumn Term.
