Hidden Figures

Welcome to the Two Districts, One Read Project Website!

To celebrate Read Across American on March 2 and to collaborate on a reading and STEM adventure, Litchfield Public Schools and Region 6 Schools will be joining together for a 2 Districts, 1 Book Project! We are excited to announce we will be reading Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly.

Many thanks to Superintendent Chris Leone for generously supplying books for each and every student in both districts, in three editions: a picture book, young readers' edition as well as the New York Times bestseller adult edition and to Hickory Stick Bookshop in Washington Depot for ordering all of the books for our schools. Our Kindergarten through 4th grade will be reading Hidden Figures: The True Story of Four Black Women and the Space Race, Grades 5-8 will be reading Hidden Figures: Young Readers' Edition, and Grades 9-12 will be reading Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly.
