Step 2 - Power Saving

Your HP Probook has a good battery life. However, prolonged use during the day may deplete your battery faster than you realise. Remember it is a students responsibility to have a fully charged device each day, no charging occurs at school.

To increase the battery life of your device please follow the steps outlined in the 3 image steps to the left.

Step 3 - Download and install Chrome

Watch the following video to demonstrate how to download and install Chrome and complete the install on your device.

Please watch this video as a class to understand SJRC's device expectations, your device responsibilities and how SJRC manages misuse.

Step 4 - Chrome Basics

Watch this video for the basic use of chrome. Once viewed please perform the tasks on your profile. You may need to individually re-watch the video using headphones.

Step 5 - Compass + Gmail

Watch the following video to demonstrate how you are expected to utilise compass and gmail. Please use your allocated time to browse compass and send your teacher an email titled "first day" and give them a brief overview of your impression of SJRC.

Step 6 - Classroom, Helpdesk Tickets + Drive

Watch this video to show you how to turn off classroom notifications, submit helpdesk tickets to request IT assistance and how to setup and organise your drive.

Step 7 - Google Classroom

Please create a "PHASE 2 IT SETUP 7.?" classroom and have all students in your room enrol. Please check the classroom participants against the roll. If you have time create an assignment and have them complete a basic holidays summary in a doc and upload it.
