What is the Technology Resource Program (TRP)?

The integration of ICT is a constantly evolving process. This is largely due to the rapidly changing nature of the technology landscape combined with the diverse requirements of education plus the cost of devices and supporting infrastructure. It is for this reason that St Mary’s Catholic College has contacted suppliers in an effort to negotiate a competitively priced package that includes a computer, extended warranty and Accidental Damage Insurance (ADP). The result has been the establishment of the TRP, which involves a partnership with technology suppliers who are leaders in the education market for technology. This partnership allows for some financial assistance by offering different payment options and ensures our students have access to appropriate and efficient technology that is current and most suited to the mobile student environment. The program also provides peace of mind for families when it comes to maintaining and supporting the computer.

How does the Technology Resource Program work?

Terms & Conditions:

• Student must be enrolled at St Mary’s Catholic College, Casino
• Payment(s) are made to one of our partner suppliers (HP or CompNow) through their online portal or over the phone if prefered. Flexible payment options are available (see the respective website portal for details).
• Students using any computer at the College will be subject to the normal rules and guidelines of the College relating to the acceptable use of technology.

Advantages:

• Computers purchased through the TRP are competitively priced.
• Computers purchased through the TRP have extended warranty plus Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) for three years. They are also supported by the College ICT support staff. This provides peace of mind for parents and students in the event of a warranty claim, a computer is damaged and ensures a quick turn around time for repairs.
• Computers purchased through the TRP will receive onsite support.
• Compatibility with the school network.
• 24/7 access to the latest specification Chromebook and Laptop computers.

How much does the TRP cost and what is included?

The cost of each package is determined by the usual market forces at play at the time an order is placed e.g the value of the Australian dollar etc. The table below is provided to show recent pricing and should only be used as a guide. Actual prices may vary from the ones shown.
