We would like to thank all our families who have set up their accounts in our new system called PickUp Patrol to help us track dismissals. The system worked really well during the first two days of school in ensuring all our students arrive home in the exact way our parents have shared over the PickUp Patrol system. We believe this is going to help support our staff, students and families with communicating and implementing transportation changes and adjustments.
As a reminder, PickUp Patrol provides you with a convenient way to communicate changes to your child’s dismissal plans and helps ensure that our students are accurately dismissed each day.
How It Works:
Your child’s regular dismissal plan is entered into the system from the information entered into the system during registration. This is called their Default Plan.
Whenever your child is doing something other than their Default Plan, you’ll submit a Plan Change via PickUp Patrol.
Parents/guardians may enter a change on the day or schedule ahead!
Examples of a Plan Change:
Your child normally rides the bus but is getting picked up today.
Your child is getting picked up by someone other than yourself.
Your child has a doctor's appointment and will be leaving early.
When the change is submitted, our school will be notified and we’ll relay the change to your child & their teacher.
REGISTER: PARENT ACTION REQUIRED
Last week, a registration email from PickUp Patrol with a link was sent to set up your account. If you missed it, don’t worry! We will be sending the invitation again soon. The parent portal is free to parents and can be accessed from your phone or computer. The link in your PickUp Patrol registration email will be live for 48 hours. As soon as you receive it, please log in and confirm your child’s default plan.
Thank you for using PickUp Patrol to make safety a priority and to ensure our dismissal process is efficient for all.

If you have any questions, please first check the PickUp Patrol Parent Guide & if you need additional assistance, let us know.
In addition to PickUp Patrol, and as part of our ongoing efforts to safely and accurately dismiss our students, any transportation changes will need to be communicated to the school through the PickUp Patrol app (preferred) or to the school office by 2pm. Any changes made after that time will result in the student being directed to the dismissal procedure on file for that day.
ParentSquare is our communication platform and is designed to conveniently and safely keep parents informed. Parents/guardians will be able to:
Receive school and class information
Communicate with teachers and school
Set your notification preferences - type and frequency (instant/digest)
Share pictures and files
See calendar items
and more!
This powerful communications platform leverages email, text, phone, AND a mobile app to provide useful and timely information for our families. Moving forward, you will receive emails and texts "via ParentSquare", and you can also download the FREE ParentSquare app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to access all communications. Parents will continue to receive communications as in the past via email, text, and phone, but will need to create an account to use the app and access all the features.

Preschool LRC times: Mondays
News from the LRC (Learning Resource Center - Library)
Mondays are our day to go to the Lisle Elementary Library. Mrs. Weeks reads a story to both PreK classrooms. Then, each student can check out a library book. They are allowed to check out one book every week. Please read the book with them and return it to school in the provided bookbag so they can get a new one the following week. Mrs. Diane and Mrs. Terri will leave them in your child's backpack until the end of the week. This way, you will have the book a couple of days to read multiple times.
Reminders:
Please have clean hands when looking at the library book.
Do not eat or drink near the library books.
Use a bookmark to save your place.
Keep your library book in your bag to stay clean and dry.
