For the past seven year, I have been happily teaching Art part-time at Tate Woods and now Lisle Elementary School. I adore our new, beautiful, sun filled Art Room at LES!
For many years, I taught Art part-time in District 203 and 204 and full-time at All Saints Catholic Academy. Before teaching Art, I was an elementary classroom teacher mostly at May Watts School in Naperville.
I earned a BA in Education from the University of St. Francis, a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University, and an Art Endorsement from Benedictine University.
I love combining my two passions Art and Education. I am one of many family members that enjoys being in the teaching field. In fact my family has 3 generations of teachers who have taught at Elwood School in Elwood, IL. My grandmother was a teacher there in a one room school house, my mother was a teacher there for 50 years, and I taught there for my first 2 years of teaching.
I love trying and experiment with many forms of Art, ie "A Jack of All Trades".Lately, my specialty has been needle felting, furniture painting, and jewelry making.I am an active member of Illinois Art Education Association.
