Charitable impact
At the Burlington Lions Club, our mission is to serve both our local community and the world at large. We achieve this through a range of major initiatives and donations to various organizations addressing diverse needs. Here's a glimpse of our significant contributions:
Major Initiatives:
Joseph Brant Hospital: Our most recent commitment of $25,000 is just a part of our total contributions exceeding $250,000.
Lions Foundation of Canada (LFC) - Dog Guides (Oakville): We support the LFC's mission to provide Service Dogs for recipients needing Canine Vision, Hearing Ear, Seizure Response, Autism Assistance, and Diabetic Alert.
The PetValu Walk for Dog Guides: An annual event held the last Sunday in May to support the LFC.
CNIB Camp Lake Joseph (Muskoka): We provide vacation opportunities for the vision-impaired, aligning with Lions' long-standing reputation as "Knights of the Blind."
Lions Camp Dorset (Muskoka) Dialysis Clinic: This clinic offers vacations for dialysis patients and their families.
Lions Camp Huronda (Muskoka): We provide vacations for diabetic children needing continuous medical care.
Lions Camp Kirk: A vacation destination for special needs children.
