Who we are
The Burlington Lions Club, established in 1925, is a dedicated group of volunteers serving both the local and global communities through the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF). It was the 18th Lions Club formed in Canada and the first in Burlington. Over the years, it underwent a name change from the Burlington Lions to the Burlington Central Lions and later merged with the Burlington Nelson Lions Club in 2006, reverting to its original name, the Burlington Lions Club. The Burlington Lions are proud members of District A-711, Region 6, Zone 6B.
As part of Lions Clubs International, we are a global network of volunteers working to meet community needs worldwide. Our mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, address humanitarian needs, promote peace, and foster international understanding through Lions clubs.
Our goal is to be the global leader in community and humanitarian service, empowering volunteers to serve, promote peace, and foster international understanding.
