Katulduan, meaning "teaching or learning" in Palaw'an (the Indigenous People of Rizal, Palawan), is a cornerstone educational initiative under Gabay Kalinga Foundation’s EDUCATE pillar.
There are three key educational initiatives under this program: Tutorial Classes that empower Indigenous parents with essential literacy and numeracy skills; Book Caravan that brings reading resources and activities to public schools; and SaturKids, a weekend program fostering comprehensive development for Lionheart employees' young children aged 3-6 years old.
This program delivers diverse awareness initiatives tailored to South Palawan communities' evolving needs. It extends beyond protection and equality to encompass financial literacy, health education, environmental conservation, disaster preparedness, digital literacy, and cultural preservation.
This adaptive approach ensures communities receive timely, relevant information across multiple domains that impact their daily lives. By fostering comprehensive awareness, Gabay Kalinga empowers community members to make informed decisions while building knowledge foundations that support sustainable community development.
