WORKING FOR A

BETTER SOUTH PALAWAN

We are GABAY KALINGA, a foundation committed to creating sustainable programs

to help solve community issues in South Palawan centered on food security, illiteracy, inequality, and climate change.

ADVOCACY PILLAR

Causes which Gabay Kalinga prioritize

EDUCATE

Education

Empowering and raising awareness of the indigenous learners in Palawan through education. Provides opportunities for learners to freely speak and learn the language that reflects their own community and develops self-identity and increased self-esteem, which are important in the practice of indigeneity”

ELEVATE

Livelihood

“Sustainable livelihoods include subsistence ways of living - such as subsistence farming/ fishing as well as opportunities and incentives for people to generate income through environmentally sustainable and culturally appropriate management of their natural resource”

PROTECT

Sustainable Living

“Protecting the environment is significant because environmental degradation is irreversible or may be very harmful to all animals, humans, or plants. Sustainable Living helps to live life and make the environment more safe, secure for individuals and future generations”

"Our dialogues are always about how we can engage the community and involve all the stakeholders in the process of delivering responsible and sustainable progress for the people, the environment and the economy.

Launching the foundation is very much about how we can leverage the participation of partners who want to help."
