Special Assessment Conditions

Candidates with permanent or long-term conditions or learning difficulties, which they believe will significantly impair their performance in specified external assessments in particular written examinations, may apply to NZQA for special assessment conditions (for example, extra time, reader/writer). Applications may need to be supported by documentary evidence from a qualified, independent registered professional and be no more than three years old. More details can be found here.

If you consider a student needs special assessment conditions for internally or externally assessed standards please contact the SENCO. Special Assessment Conditions applications are to be made by the end of February.
