SOC 204: Introduction to Sociology is an introductory course for first year college students. This course introduces fundamental concepts in sociology including, the scientific method, sociological theories, socialization, social structure, and culture. Examines how US society and culture are shaped by race, ethnicity, social class, gender, and sexuality.
Included in this course are an instructor guide, a course supplement guide, weekly overviews, discussion prompts, and weekly journal assignments. The course readings include an open textbook for each topic, along with other openly licensed materials.
