Transformative Texts —whether ancient or modern—are works that have transformed the world and continue to have the power to transform individual lives under the mentorship of faculty. This list is a repository of the many diverse Transformative Texts that students and faculty might explore in Cornerstone classes. Each text includes some examples of student-centered questions that are meant to inspire rich discussions about vital issues in the humanities. For faculty, instructional resources are also available, in addition to this selection of tips for teaching Cornerstone classes.
