What is Strong Girls United?

Strong Girls United is a free program offered by Bowdoin College female athletes. They will come to Woodside Elementary once a week for six weeks to meet with female students after school. Students will learn leadership skills, develop self-esteem, and learn how to play a sport. Students who might experience barriers and have never played a sport should be strongly considered for this program.

This program will be offered in the fall and spring.

What some of our Woodside students say about Strong Girls:

"Strong Girls helped me feel like I am part of a team!" ~ 3rd grader

"Strong Girls helped me become more confident!" ~ 5th grader

"Strong Girls helped me be more outgoing and a leader!" ~ 5th grader
