Lessons are a feature of SEQTA that are used at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School. Key features of Lessons are:
Lesson Topic
Online Lesson
Homework
The Lesson Topic is simply the title of the lesson. You can add Lesson Topics from My Day, the SEQTA Creator, and in the programme Planner.
TIP: Structure these consistently so they can be searched and imported yearly.
For consistency, use the naming convention:
Topic | Lesson Title | Lesson Activity
For example:
Bridge Project | Bridge Types
Bridge Project | Project Management + Gantt Charts
Key lesson content should be included as students can then search lessons for this information.
The Online Lesson is where the teacher creates a lesson that is visible on SEQTA Learn and SEQTA Engage.
SEQTA Creator has several modules you can click on to add content.
Legacy Editor: For adding text. Uses the same formatting as the rest of SEQTA. and you can paste images in. Text can be formatted and hyperlinked using the formatting options. Avoid using the other option, the Rich Text Editor as pasting text loses formatting.
External Web Content: for adding videos from YouTube and external websites.
Resources: Files such as screenshots and PDFs can be attached to the lesson.
There are several other Modules you can use as well as themes to style all your lessons the same way.
Homework can be set in the Lesson Plan section of a SEQTA Lesson.
Homework is visible on SEQTA Learn and SEQTA Engage via the Course Page or Dashboard. Homework stays visible until the first lesson of the following week.
Students can move homework to their Task List so they can tick things off as they go.

Before you start writing Lessons, You must go to the Planner for your class and click 'Add All'.
If you do not do this step, the same lesson will pop up all week.
You will need to do this for all of your classes.
