Hi!

My name is Shaina Thomas and I am the School Counselor at Union Elementary. I am a Lincoln County native and a product of Lincoln County Schools. I graduated from West Lincoln High School. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC-Charlotte, and I  received my Masters Degree in School Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University.  I am married to my best friend Jonathon (J.T.), and we had Beagle/Basset named Bentley🌈💔 and now we have a Beagle named Bowen Bojangles (BoBo for short 😉). I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, hanging out with my dog, and I love watching Football and Baseball!

I am extremely excited and grateful to be an OWL, as I attended Union Elementary for Kindergarten through 5th grade too! I am blessed to have the opportunity to help students and give back to the community and school system that made me who I am today. It is my mission to teach important character lessons and interpersonal skills in a fun, unique way. I am looking forward to guiding all of our students towards a successful future.
