A comprehensive school counseling program is not complete without classroom guidance lessons. Each class at Union Elementary visits "The Guidance Nest" every week to receive 40 minutes of classroom guidance. Guidance class at it's core is to help students develop socially and emotionally. Essentially, we talk A LOT about feelings! 😊 At Union Elementary our Character Traits are a main focus during guidance. Below you will find the character trait for each month. In addition to the character traits below, students also learn important lessons about bullying prevention, friendship and tattling vs. telling among many other things.
