LPS METCO Dancing for Diversity
Breakdancing, also known as breaking or b-boying/b-girling, is a high-energy street dance style that combines acrobatic moves, intricate footwork, and rhythmic flow. Born in the Bronx during the 1970s hip-hop movement, it blends creativity, athleticism, and personal expression. Whether it's spins, freezes, or explosive power moves, breakdancing is all about battling, storytelling, and pushing physical limits — all set to the beat of the music. This class, led by Teflon and Tay of Youth Acquiring Knowledge (Y.A.K) will meet every Monday & Tuesday from 3:00-4:30 in the K-4 movement room. All students in grades 3-8 are invited to participate!
