(Grades 1-3 Only) Creative Sparks:
Through the Creative Sparks program, students in grades 1-4 embrace their individuality through artistic expression. Led by Bentley University students with backgrounds in theater, camp, and art, this program provides students with an outlet to build their creativity skills in a fun, structured environment. Weekly sessions are designed to meet the needs, the imaginations, and the interests of the students in the program. This afterschool activity will run on Mondays.
(Grades 5-8 Only) Future Founders:
Future Founders is a weekly program through which students in grades 5-8 work with Bentley University mentors to explore topics in entrepreneurship. Through engaging workshops and fun projects, students learn the ins and outs of building businesses that make a positive impact in the world. In the final sessions, students pitch their businesses in a "Shark Tank"-style environment! This afterschool activity will run on Mondays.
(Grades 4 & 5 Only) SDGs for You and Me:
Bentley students designed SDGs for You and Me to inspire the next generation of changemakers. Through facilitated workshops, activities, and reflections in weekly sessions, Bentley students engage Lincoln School students in conversations around the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. While gaining knowledge and civic skills, these Lincoln School students are also challenged and equipped to drive progress toward these goals on a local level. This afterschool activity will run on Tuesdays.
(Grades 4 & 5 Only) 2+2=5:
Through this program, Bentley students facilitate a ten-week team-building curriculum that incorporates exercise and critical thinking. This curriculum was developed by Bentley students in collaboration with Physical Education teachers. Each week, the Bentley mentors lead activities designed to further participants’ leadership and teamwork skills in a fun, supportive environment. At the end of each session, these mentors lead reflection sessions to ensure that the children learn the meaning of teamwork and have a platform for open conversations. This afterschool activity will run on Thursdays.
