Money 101 Club with Ms. Nam (Mondays)
What even is money? Learn the basics of economics and finance through role playing and simulation. Barter? Trade? Investment? Goods and services? We will learn using the lessons developed by the Federal Reserve System. This club will meet on Monday afternoons.
Animal Club with Mr. McDonough (Tuesdays)
Do you love animals—or want to learn more about them? Animal Club is a fun, weekly hangout where we explore all kinds of animals: wild animals, pets, and even farm animals that people don’t always think about. We’ll watch great videos and documentaries that show how smart, emotional, and unique different animals really are. You’ll get to choose a favorite animal (or a group of animals) to learn about and create a small project on your own or with friends. We’ll also look at some animals that need our help, like endangered species, and talk about ways people can make a difference. Throughout the club, you’ll discover how similar animals are to each other—and to us—and why they all deserve kindness. If you’re curious, caring, and excited to explore the animal world, this club is for you! This club will meet on Tuesday afternoons.
Speech & Debate Club with Ms. Nam (Tuesdays)
Do you enjoy talking? Do you want to learn how to convince people to see things your way? Come and practice different styles of oratory/speech and basic debate skills. This club will meet on Tuesday afternoons.
National History Day Competition with Ms. Crehan and Mr. Peledge (Thursdays for Grades 6-8)
National History Day is a 50-year old competition that challenges students from across the U.S. and beyond. Students, either on their own or in small groups, explore a topic of their own interest relating to the annual theme; this year's theme is Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History. Through research and analysis, students generate their own perspective on how historical figures, moments, or a movement connects to the theme. They can write a paper or create an exhibit, documentary, website, or performance. Students can enter a regional, then state, and ultimately a "national" competition for top finishers. Last year Lincoln students did extremely well at the regionals and one nearly qualified for nationals with a couple of prizes earned at states. Come check it out and see what you think. This club will meet on Thursday afternoons.
Massachusetts History Day Young Historians with Ms. Crehan and Mr. Peledge (Thursdays for Grade 5 Only)
Like National History Day for students in grades 6-12, Grade 5 "Young Historians" will explore primary sources tied to the National History Day 2025–26 theme: Revolution, Reaction, and Reform in History . Students may create a Poster, Podcast, or Documentary film. Culminating projects will be presented at a regional contest and at our school showcase in March. This club will meet on Thursdays afternoons.
