Welcome to the 5th Grade!
Fifth grade is a year full of transition and growth! Your students are coming into their own, and are ready to broaden their perspectives on the greater world around them. In fifth grade, your students will draw on all they have learned in K-4 and begin to truly create authentic products that exemplify all they know and can now do.
Throughout the year we tie in our rich curriculum with an abundance of deep community work to help students understand their own identity as learners and citizens of the world. We create opportunities that mirror student’s own experiences and open windows into experiences different than their own.
We believe in students feeling safe and comfortable as we lay the groundwork for them to build confidence in themselves and develop a passion for learning.
We are grateful you're a part of our journey this year!
Warm hugs,
Ms. Pehl, Ms. Redmond, Mrs. Dube, and Mrs. Clancy-McCarthy
