Join us for a fun virtual family adventure across 6 animal habitats based on the Race the Wild series by Kristin Earhart and illustrated by Eda Kaban and Erwin Madrid. Each week we will post a new adventure for your family to travel through during the week.
NOTE: The game is not meant to be played all in one sitting. Take your time and enjoy the trips to the six different habitats. Each habitat has 5-6 levels. Our advice is to play it one level/day to keep your family from getting worn out on their trip.
Families that complete all six adventures win ultimate bragging rights. This game is best suited for elementary school-aged children (3rd grade and up) along with their older siblings, parents, and or guardians.
Google search is your best guide in this game. Also, feel free to close any finished tabs/windows as you move through the game. The next step will always lead you to where you need to go.

“Congratulations! Your team has been chosen to compete in ‘The Wild Life’ a race around the world to experience the majesty of the animal kingdom,” (Earhart, Race the Wild, 1).
The Star Valley Branch Library welcomes you to the game. We have based this game loosely off of Kristin Earhart’s Race the Wild series which is available to check out from the Lincoln County Library System.
There are six legs to the race, each in a different habitat that will post weekly to our Facebook each week on Tuesdays at 10:00 am. Past weeks can be found on our Online Adventures page at https://sites.google.com/linclib.org/svbl-online-adventures/race-the-wild
Answer all the clues and you’ll win the ultimate prize - bragging rights for your family.
“At every stop, you’ll meet strange and wonderful animals. Keep your eyes and ears open for clues. And watch out - the wild world is beautiful, but can also be dangerous,” (Earhart, Race the Wild, 1).
Sincerely,
Melissa Haderlie

“Rainforests cover only 2% of the earth, but they are home to over 50% of the world’s species. That means over half of the different kinds of animals in the world live in rainforests,” (Earhart, Race the Wild, 13). "The Great Barrier Reef is the largest group of reefs in the world. Together, these reefs stretch nearly 1,500 miles along the northeastern coast of Australia. The reef is home to more than 1,500 species of fish...More than 130 species of sharks and rays call the reef home...Life here is a delicate balance and you have to respect it," (Earhart, Great Reef Games, 9-11).
