MS Technology

This course serves as a precursor to the ICT program students go through during the 8th grade year.

Some topics we have discussed are:

• iMac basics
• Google Apps for Education
• File types (.wpd, .docx, .xlsx, .key, .mp4, .mp3, etc)
• Converting files from one to another
• Typing (Letter writing)
• Cloud based storage solutions
• Presentation software (Slides, Keynote)
• Poster presentation software (Pages)

Students build upon the skills they have learned while in Elementary School and experience growth during the first two quarters of Middle School. This propels them into having greater success as they finish their 6th grade year and move into their 7th grade year. Then as 8th graders, they complete their State of New Hampshire required digital portfolio at the end of the year.
