Bayridge Trail Blazers are past students, staff members, or people in the Bayridge community that have left their mark on Bayridge and have gone on to do wonderful things. This page is dedicated to those who have left or are still part of our Bayridge community but will forever be a part of the Bayridge family and what Bayridge has become today.
Micheal Bullett is both a student alumni and staff alumni that have been a part of the Bayridge family for many years. He started at Bayridge as a student in 1978 and graduated in 1983 and is honored on Bayridges Wall of Fame. After that, he began as Bayridges Drama teacher and Theatre director for all of the musicals and plays that took place at Bayridge (see clubs page for images on some of the theatre and drama productions). He has and still is a massive part of Bayridge as he ventures into the school to sing and roast the graduating classes, show off his singing and acting skills when doing events like assemblies, and sometimes appear on the rooftop of Bayridge to celebrate and commence events like our Club carousal.
Matt Brash is a MLB pitcher for the Seattle Mariners and a former student and pitcher for Bayridge. When he was in high school, Matt was taken under the wing of Bayridge staff member, Mr. Stewart as he watched Matt dominate the pitcher's mound throughout high school and then watched him grow and achieve so much throughout the years that followed.
Emily Swaine is a recently graduated blazer that attended Bayridge from 2017 to 2021. She left a lasting mark on the Bayridge community by competing in many sports including Volleyball, Softball, Tennis and Track & Field, where she excelled in shot put. Emily was also heavily involved in other clubs and councils in the school including the student council, athletics council, DECA, computers club and more. Emily is a role model to other students who strive to balance and succeed in school and extracurricular life.
Aaron is a recently graduated student who attended Bayridge between 2016 and 2020 and is the recipient of the Bayridge Hall of Fame award for his class. During his years at Bayridge, Aaron made a lasting impact on the school by helping to run the school yearbook, co-launching Bayridge's BSN assemblies both in-person and virtual, and being one of the organizers for the Bayridge driveway graduations for the 2020 students. Aaron is known to be one of the kindest students to walk through Bayridge as he wasn't afraid to help others and make Bayridge a better place for everyone.
Ben McLean is a Kingston radio host for Kingston's iheart radio MOVE 98.3. He is a great representation of Kingston and especially Bayridge spirit because he still reps the blue and orange on air some days.

Elamin Abdelmahmaud is a prolific podcaster and also a CBC radio host. He and his family moved to Canada and specifically Kingston when he was 12 years old with English still being a difficulty when he came into high school. With a lot of perseverance and help from teachers, he was able to get through high school and then into Queens University. At Queens, he gained a degree in gender studies which then lead him to a path of journalism. Elamin has also recently published a book that is now available for preorder here.

Erin Conway is an Associate Producer at Be Collective Media. She began her career at a comedy club in Toronto called Second City back in 2004 and worked her way up the later for 9 years. As her passion for comedy grew she then would become the first Executive Director of The Big City Improv Festival and the Producer of Learning & Fun at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
Robert Kiley is a former graduate of Bayridge Secondary school and also one of the co-presidents from 2005-2006. He is best know for being a 3-time provincial candidate for the provincial office and the former deputy leader of the Green party of Ontario. After stepping down as the deputy leader for the Green party, he soon after declared that he was running for municipal office in Kingston and is currently the leader of District 6: The Trillium district in Kinston.

Lewis Ward was a former blazer that was mainly focused on his future career in soccer when he came to Bayridge Secondary school he also found his passion for football and repped number 85 for the Bayridge blazers as a slot receiver, wide receiver, running back, and the kicker for field goals, punts, and kick-off. As a blazer, he would also play rugby as a fly-half (#1 0) and also a point guard for basketball. But when he went into University at OttawaUas a Gee-Gee, he became a full-on kicker and finished his university career with a conversion of 89 field goals which is the most in program and conference history.
