In 10th grade English, you will be reading and responding to a wide variety of literary styles and genres. You will write numerous essays throughout the year which will help prepare you for Ohio’s New State Tests. You will also complete various projects related to texts. The word ‘WHY’ is a very important word for this school year. WHY did the author present the text this way? How do you know that is WHY they presented it that way? Evidence is another very important word. You must show actual textual evidence when you respond to a text. You must be able to edit and evaluate your work in 10th grade English.
