Welcome to the 2025 CE/ET Beamtube Workshop III

Both in-person and remote participation will be supported for this meeting.

Registration is required to attend this event in person or remotely.

- Registration includes daily lunch, snacks, all day beverages, and one dinner.

THE VENUE

Laboratory Support Building (LSB)

Located at LIGO Hanford Observatory.

The address is 127124 Route 10, Richland, WA 99354.

The LSB auditorium will be the main location for this event.
All meals, snacks, and all day beverages will be provided in the lobby.
The doors will be unlocked for this event.

TRANSPORTATION TO LHO

A rental car is required to get to the site. Carpooling is highly recommended.

Driving Directions

Google Maps recognizes "LIGO Hanford Observatory" as a search term.

You can reach LIGO Hanford Observatory from Richland in two ways: Traveling northwest on Rte. 240 then north on Rte. 10 at the roundabout, or taking Stevens Dr./Rte. 4, then south on Rte. 10 before the Wye Barricade.

Taking State Rte. 240: Travel west on State Rte. 240 from Richland, then turn right (north) onto Rte. 10 (Horn Road) at the roundabout. LHO is about 6 miles north on the left hand side.
Taking Stevens Drive: Follow Stevens Dr. past the generating station. Just before reaching the Wye Barricade gate to the Department of Energy Hanford site, turn left to follow the sign for "Rte. 10/to 240" onto the short spur road. Turn left again at the stop sign. LIGO is about one mile down the road on the right. If you end up at the Wye Barricade, the guard at the gate will point you in the right direction.

PARKING AT LHO

Plan to park in the LExC parking lot in front of the building.
Parking is free.

IN-PERSON MEETING SUPPORT

To support in-person attendance, the following mitigations will be available:

Face masks.
Covid-19 test kits.
Enhanced air filtration (portable air scrubbers).
Use of indoor or outdoor dining areas (weather permitting).
Provided meals, snacks, and all day refreshments.

OTHER LOCATIONS FOR BREAKOUT SESSIONS

LIGO Exploration Center (LExC)

LExC features a 5,000 square foot exhibit hall, home to exciting interactive exhibits focused on gravitational waves and related sciences, as well as hardware reflecting the history of gravitational wave astronomy.

The LIGO Exploration Center is open to the public Tuesday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

This building also features two classrooms and an outdoor dining area.

Operations Support Building (OSB)

The majority of our Systems Science and Engineering team is based in the Operations Support Building (OSB). This facility also features a multi-purpose room, conference room, library, and an outdoor dining area.

Please note that the building is secured--doors remain locked, and visitors must be escorted at all times.
