Creative Arts: 'Create an environment for learning which enables all students to reach their full potential, valuing and developing the whole person (body, mind and character)'
At Lighthouse, we aim to nurture artistic talent in every student through our music (primary) and art (primary and secondary) curriculum, as well as on-stage performances that give them opportunities to explore the arts and express themselves creatively. From weekly assemblies in primary to special events like Music Day, Lighthouse Has Talent, National Day, and graduation ceremonies, students gain valuable experience and confidence on stage.
This year, both Primary and Secondary students took part in a range of performances, and our annual Art Festival was another highlight. The festival featured more than 100 pieces of art created by students, teachers, and parents, celebrating creativity and community.
We are also proud to share that four of our Secondary students have reached the finals of the Sovereign Art Foundation Student Prize competition:
David Marie (G13)
Suhani Beharee (G13)
Georgia King (G12)
Piya Narandas (G12)
These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing opportunities for students to develop their talents, enjoy the arts, and take pride in their creative work. Next year, we aim to expand our music programme and offer even more opportunities for students to develop their musical talents.
