Art

This term, the art lessons were focused on four elements of art - Lines, Shapes, Colour and Texture. Students were  introduced to a wide range of artists both locally and internationally. Through different activities, learners had the opportunity to learn and explore techniques such as Sgraffito, Paper collage and mobile art. At every stage, learners had to use their creativity, imagination and organisational skills to create interesting artworks. 

Lower Primary Art

Lower Primary learners learned about collage techniques and how to use a combination of regular and irregular shapes to create their masterpieces. While Grade 2s are busy creating their mobile art made up of cardboards, Grade 3s are completing their Sgraffito work using oil pastels.

Upper Primary Art

As an extension to what they learned in Term 1, Upper Primary students learned about shapes and patterns and created interesting repeated patterns using printing techniques. Learners were recently introduced to abstract art where they will be learning about the style of Pollock and Mondrian.
