Current Projects
Constructing The South Courtyard Garden
East High School has been working with the distric and other staff to ensure that students are properly recycling.
Thrifting Events
Students bring old, unwanted clothing to be swapped and sold among other students in order to give these garments new life and counteract fast fashion.
Student-Led Environment Presentations
Various club members volunteer to present environmental issues to raise awareness surrounding climate change and our world. We currently are presenting for the Air Semester
Volunteer Work
East High School has various opportunities to participate in actual volunteering! Learn about various opportunities at meetings or get up to date information on our Instagram page.
DPS Students for Climate Action
DPS students have been working to bring sustainable actions, not only to East High School, but also to Denver Public School district as a whole! Please sign the petition to ensure climate action in DPS!
Passing Climate Legislation
Though there is much to do in DPS in terms of Climate resiliency, there is much more on the state level. That's why every year our club goes out to the Denver capitol building to help pass and change laws around Climate Change.
Weekly Meetings
Join us every Monday in room 407 at lunch for fun presentations, guest speakers, climate news, videos, and more! Text @easthighsc to 81010 to join the club!
As high school students, it is difficult for us to get truly involved in the hands-on parts of climate activism. By planting trees, we are able to see our efforts come to fruition. Buying a tree is a great way to support us and the environment at the same time! Click on the plant to buy a tree!
Text @eastsc1 to 81010 to join the remind!
