The East High School Sustainability Club aims to create a conscious culture of sustainability across our school and in the broader Denver-Metro community. We're all about inspiring people to take action against climate change. It's time for you to change climate change.
President
I care about sustainability because I want everyone to be able to witness the beauty of our world, and to make it accessible for future generations to feel the same connection to the earth that I do. This year as president of sustainability club, I am hoping to increase both participation and membership in the club, and support club member ideas for achieving sustainability
Vice President
I care about sustainability because it’s such an important aspect of my life and the lives of everything living on this planet. A goal I have for this upcoming school year to add another garden to the East HS campus.
Recruitment Coordinator
I care about sustainability and conservation because I think that it is an issue a lot of people overlook. I want more people to recognize that the world we live in needs our help, and doing simple everyday things like taking public transport will benefit future generations of people and species of plants and animals all over the world.
Social Media Manager
I care about sustainability because it is important to preserve the little water and clean air that we have in order to help the future generations, as well as help the wildlife and plants that live on this earth. A goal I have is to spread more awareness throughout East and Denver.
Treasurer
I’ve been taught about the importance of nature since I was young. I’ve often visited the mountains, and have always felt protective of its grandeur. My goal for the upcoming year is to plan and run around 4 fun and successful events
Guest Speaker Coordinator
I am very invested in Sustainability, especially through transportation, offsetting, and electric appliances and vehicles. I love high efficiency work and energy, such as solar, hydroelectric and geothermal. I am a lover of the outdoors and going for fun trips, whether that's through forests or cities.
Secretary
I care about sustainability because I want to help stop global warming and try to make a difference! I've been deeply involved in climate advocacy since I've been in high school, and in that time have done my best to create a positive change in the world.
Club Liason
I care about sustainability because I believe that it is our job as humans to be stewards of our earth. And the only way we can do that is if we take action to change our harmful practices. My goal is to make our school feel the same passion and urgency for the wellbeing of our planet and community. I want to engage more students and teachers, sparking conversations about how everyone can participate in sustainability and protect our earth.
Secratary
I’m passionate about sustainability because I believe it's essential for protecting the environment for future generations. I feel a strong responsibility to reduce waste and support renewable resources, knowing that even small actions can make a big difference. By living sustainably, I hope to inspire others to make eco-friendly choices in their own lives.
