At Lifeworks Occupational Therapy, we don’t just support clients, we also support the professionals who care for them. Our Professional Supervision and Mentoring Services are designed for Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, and other allied health practitioners seeking to grow their skills and confidence in working with complex conditions, chronic pain, and mental health presentations.
We also provide supervision specific to Occupational Therapy supervisees seeking Mental Health Endorsement with Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) and for supervisees requiring AHPRA-specified supervision, including those returning to practice or working under AHPRA restrictions or conditions.
In addition to individual supervision, we offer group and peer supervision for Occupational Therapists, Support Coordinators, Support Workers, and other NDIS practitioners looking to connect, reflect, and strengthen their professional practice.
Our practitioner services are available for any health professional wishing to upskill in the areas of mental health, persistent pain, complex and chronic conditions, and neurodivergence.
We specialise in supervision for those working in or transitioning to:
Mental health and psychosocial disability care
Persistent and chronic pain conditions
Complex chronic health conditions
Neurodivergence and sensory processing
We offer professional supervision and mentoring for Occupational Therapists and other health professionals who work (or want to work) in these areas.
We also provide supervision specific to Occupational Therapy supervisees seeking Mental Health Endorsement with Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) and to supervisees requiring AHPRA-specified supervision, including those returning to practice or those working under AHPRA restrictions or conditions.
It's important to note that our mentoring program is not the same as EAP (i.e. organisational and management matters), and instead focuses solely on the clinical and professional skills needed to work in the aforementioned areas.
Whether you’re early in your career, returning to the workforce, or simply looking for space to reflect and grow — our supervision is designed to meet you where you are. Our mentors are highly experienced practitioners who not only love their field but also love to teach. Supervision is an opportunity for skill-building and confidence — and we believe it should be inspiring, supportive, and transformative.
We offer one-on-one supervision to support OTs working in private practice, community, and NDIS settings. Supervision can be focused, flexible, and tailored to your goals.
We also provide supervision for Occupational Therapists seeking Mental Health Endorsement with Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA), as well as for supervisees requiring AHPRA-specified supervision, including those returning to practice or working under AHPRA restrictions or conditions.
Our sessions often explore:
Complex case discussions and clinical reasoning
Applying evidence-informed frameworks (CBT, ACT, DBT, sensory and functional approaches)
Managing boundaries, scope of practice and ethical decisions
Role clarity when working across disability, mental health and chronic illness
Preventing burnout and sustaining your career long term
Supervision is available online (Australia-wide) or in person if you're based in Perth. You can book a single session or arrange ongoing support at a frequency that works for you.
