Jacintha (aka "The Pain OT"), our Director, is dedicated to quality pain care, and supporting adults with Connectve Tissue Disorders (EDS/HSD), reclaim their lives. With over 25 years of experience, she focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals living with these conditions, including persistent pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, mental health, and limitations in daily function and quality of life.
Drawing on her extensive clinical skills and personal experience with hypermobility conditions, Jacintha provides compassionate and evidence-based care. Her therapeutic approach is broad and varied, and tailored uniquely for each person.
Jacintha is a Mental Health endorsed OT, and a member of The EDS Society, The Australian Pain Society, The Australian POTS Foundation, FND Australia and OT Australia.
She offers convenient telehealth appointments to ensure accessibility and flexibility for her clients.
When she isn't serving on the APS Board (where she’s spent the last six years championing evidence-based pain care), you’ll find her leading Pain Recovery Groups, offering Pain Care OT small group supervision, and supporting folks with connective tissue disorders. Outside of work, Jacintha is mastering the ultimate endurance challenge: parenting three teenagers. She copes by dancing it out at every available opportunity and occasionally talking to her garden plants.
