What is the Foundation?

The Foundation was organized as a charitable, non-profit corporation that was designed to solicit, receive, and disburse funds, property, and gifts of any kind, exclusively for the benefit and support of the students and staff of Community Unit School District #2.  The Foundation is a separate entity from the school district itself and operates independently with its own board of directors.

• Qualified 501(c)3 Charitable Organization.  Recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.  This makes your donations tax-deductible. Talk to your accountant!

• Chartered by the State of Illinois.

• Governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors.

• Dedicated to the goal of Educational Excellence for our children.

• Responsible for raising funds from citizens and businesses to make good things happen at Liberty Schools.

• Make funds available to develop school staff and enhance the teaching tools and facilities available to prepare our youth for the future.
