Information on this page is geared for parents seeking more information about Speech or Language Impairments.
Our school conducts annual hearing screenings for students in Kindergarten and grades 1, 4, 7, and 10. These screenings are also administered to students who transfer into our school district and to any student suspected of having a hearing deficit.
Results are sent home with the student the day of their screening, which often happens 1st semester. Those who do not pass the screening will receive a call from the Speech-Language Pathologist regarding results and next steps.
These screenings are in no way a replacement of a complete examination by a physician or an audiologist. If you have hearing concerns, talk to your physician as they will need to make a referral to an audiologist. Resources below are local areas where you might be referred.
