Hello SRMS Stallion Band Family,

I hope this email finds you well.  I am writing to invite all current 7th/8th-grade band members to attend our 2nd annual Stallion Band Camp!

The camp will be held at the SRMS band hall on July 27-29 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

This camp is free and highly encouraged!  This is an excellent opportunity for students to continue developing their instrumental skills while building camaraderie with fellow band members.

During the camp, participants will have the opportunity to:

1. Enhance their musicianship through group sectionals and ensemble rehearsals.

2. Get a head start on warm-ups, scale exercises, and new pep tunes.

3. Engage in team-building games and activities.

4. Make new friends.

5. Enjoy a pizza party on the last day of camp!

This camp will not only foster musical growth but also instill important values such as discipline and teamwork.  Students will bring their instrument, band binder, and a positive attitude.  If your child was issued a school-owned instrument for the summer, they will need to bring that instrument to the camp.  For those who play a school-owned instrument and were not issued an instrument for the summer (bass clarinet, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, French horn, euphonium, and tuba), an instrument will be assigned and checked out to them on the first day of camp.

Please do us a favor and fill out the Google form below to let us know if your child will be attending.  We know that many families may have summer plans and cannot attend, so please do not worry!  We will see your child at the start of the school year!  We also included the 7th/8th-grade instrument supply list for this coming school year.
