There are four basic foundations of elementary music education: music literacy, creative expression, historical and cultural relevance, and critical evaluation and response. This year in the 5th Grade music classroom, we will sing, play games, listen to music, move our bodies, play instruments, compose, improvise, and much more. The students will also get more experience with xylophones, metallophones, and other unpitched percussion instruments. During the spring semester, we will play ukuleles! You will receive more information about this at a later date.
