We know recital can feel overwhelming, but we are here to help make it an AMAZING experience! See below for some FAQs and if you don't see your answer, just ask!
DOES MY DANCER STAY BACKSTAGE THE WHOLE TIME?
They do! And trust me, they have SO MUCH FUN! They get to watch the other dancers, listen to the fun music and look at the beautiful costumes.
ONLY exception is: Darby's Dancers....they need to be picked up right after the perform (#3 in the show).
All the dancers (except Darby's Dancers) come out for the grand finale at the end of the show!
We have LOTS of great LDC teachers and helpers backstage and promise if anything serious happened, we would come get you. We have record of where everyone is sitting in the audience, so no worries!
Parents are NOT allowed backstage. And dancers are NOT allowed to leave mid show due to security reasons.
CAN WE BRING SNACKS AND TOYS BACKSTAGE?
Again for safety reasons, we don't allow food backstage. We have dancers with severe food allergies and need to keep everyone safe (and clean too!)
The shows go by really fast and the dancers stay entertained watching and/or doing the activities we have for them backstage (did someone say coloring?!!)
DOES MY TICKET WORK FOR MULTIPLE SHOWS?
Seats are reserved seating and to ensure we know how many people are attending each show, tickets are good for the one specific show. If you are attending multiple shows, you will need a ticket for each show you are attending.
You will order your tickets via a ticketing site, similar to Ticketmaster, called Dance Recital Ticketing. More details and special access codes coming in April/May.
Since your dancer is backstage the whole time, they do NOT need a ticket!
WHY DOES MY DANCER NEED TO WEAR MAKEUP?
The stage lights are SO bright, that without some stage makeup, their faces will be washed out and they will look like a ghost!
If you are uncomfortable with your young dancer wearing makeup, no worries!
WHAT DO WE DO WHEN WE GET THERE?
See the "Show Day" page for all of those details! (posted late Spring)
Have them come READY to rock...see more details on the "Show Day" page.
