The Ole’ 60 Newspaper staff is so thrilled to be able to write about our community, sports, and most importantly our school. We are a mixed class with freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. We have athletes, Pep Club members, FFA members, Youth Alive members and Yearbook staff. We will be working very hard to give you quality content from many different angles and show the greatness that it is to be a Liberty Eagle.

Mission Statement

The mission of The ‘Ole 60 online newspaper is to inform, educate, and entertain the student body, faculty, and community readers. We will report and analyze issues that concern our students in a manner that is fair, impartial, objective, responsible, and accurate while reflecting the positive message of the Mountain View-Birch Tree School District philosophies. Though The ‘Ole 60 is full of information useful to a variety of readers the newspaper is the “first rough draft” of the school’s history - produced by teenagers - not a textbook for didactic instruction.
