What has been your favorite part of Senior year?
“Having what amounts to two classes, so my work is fairly easy.”
What goes on in your Vo-Tech class?/What goes on in your favorite class?
“At vo-tech it is completely lax most of the time. Once we get our work done, we’re free to do what we want within reason. My primary focus is auto mechanics so I’m working on vehicles. However, I sometimes go over to the welding shop with Zeke to see what all those guys are up to.”
What are your plans after high school and why do you want to do those things?
“I’m going to see how good of a surgeon I am. I figured since I can work on cars, working on a person shouldn’t be so hard.”
Can you tell us about one of your misadventures this year, Randen?
“Ah, well in that regard, I have had many misadventures this year. One that seems to be relevant is when Zeke and I went to Alley Springs Mill when the school was on quarantine. We climbed atop the big ridge at Alley, getting a great view of the spring below and the surrounding areas. I was able to turn my phone’s hotspot on so we could log on to the google meets and do our work with a little bit of outdoor flair to our schoolwork this time around.”
What do you think makes you, “you”?
“There are several factors making up a person’s personality. Major life events, people, places, things, and lessons learned all come together to shape someone’s personality. If I were to choose a few things, It’d be my friends, my family, and my life experiences.”
Do you believe you’ll still be like you are currently in five years?
“I haven’t changed much personality-wise in the last five years. I don’t see why I’d deviate from that in the near future.”
What is something that you would wish to do this year before you graduate?
“A few close friends and I plan to go out West on spring break.”
If you could go back to your Freshman year, what would you tell yourself?
“Don’t let yourself get behind in your classes.”
Are there any regrets about Senior year?
“No regerts.”
