Susan b. Anthony was born on february 15 1820. She was born in Adams, Massachusetts. Danial Anthony her father, Lucy Anthony her mother, and six siblings. Her parents believed she deserved the same respect as her brothers. They believed she deserved an education. They wanted their kids to be successful. They were quakers. Danial had a small cotton mill. Lucy worked from home.
She was treated with the same respect as her brothers. They gave Susan the same chance to learn. She could read and write when she was only five. When a teacher refused to teach Susan long division her dad was removed from her school and hired a woman teacher to teach to show her and her sisters women can do a variety of jobs.
She had a very good education as good as her brothers.She went to school in Battenville but then learnt at her father's school. She went on to become a teacher. She learned from teachers and her parents. She learned everything a man would learn From her parents she learned that everyone was equal.
At first she was a teacher but was fired when trying to get higher wages. She then went on to become a principal. After 10 years she became an activist. A principle and activist were her main jobs.
Susan B. Anthony was famous because she is one of the main reasons why women have rights and can vote.They fought and protested for right not just for women but everyone.She was remembered because she fought for everyone to have rights and succeeded with giving women rights.
She was a woman so was denied lots of things. It was harder because she had less rights and being a woman made it harder to get people to listen They made her want to give women and everyone rights and make everyone be treated equal.
