Students will go through a yoga routine led by Paulius and Sunny. While going through the routine, we will describe basic information of how each pose benefits your body and what muscles will be activated. We will also walk through a tutorial on how to properly perform each pose and how to get the most out of each position.
No materials required however, a yoga mat and open space are advised.
Each student will take one sheet of aluminum foil and attempt to make a boat that will hold as many pennies (or other coins) as possible. They will place it on water and continuously place pennies until it cannot hold anymore. Based on their age, we can explain the science in different layers of depth. For the most part, we will explain the force of gravity that is pulling the boat down. Buoyancy is pushing the boat towards the surface of the water. This force is the weight of the water displaced by the boat, which is continuously becoming heavier, increasing the force gravity is pulling down with.
