Norfolk Noon Optimist Carol Gall Scholarship - The Norfolk Noon Optimists will again be awarding three $500.00 Carol Gall Memorial Scholarships this year to seniors graduating from any of Norfolk’s three high schools. Complete the application and return to your school counselor. Consider carefully who you ask to write your letters of recommendation! Service and involvement in the community weigh more heavily that class rank and GPA. Financial need is not a factor in our decision! Please complete all application materials and return them to us by mail or you can return them to your School Counselor. The deadline for both is Friday, April 10th!
James M. Cox Foundation - James M. Cox Foundation offers scholarships to students in Nebraska with demonstrated financial need, with particular emphasis on the eastern one‑third of the state. For 2026, the Foundation will award 55 scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than April 22, 2026 (extended from April 15). A copy of the scholarship application is attached.

Please note there have been a few updates to the eligibility criteria for 2026. Applicants must now attend or plan to attend a college, trade school, or vocational school in Nebraska, expanding beyond the prior college‑only requirement. In addition, there will be an increased emphasis this year on demonstrating financial need. All other scholarship requirements remain unchanged.
LHNE Booster Club Scholarship - Award: $1,000 scholarship to two students for the college of their choice. Please submit the following: A list of extracurricular activities that you participated in and the years you participated in them at Lutheran High. A complete an essay writing on the following prompt: Why I would encourage students to be involved in all extracurricular activities at Lutheran High Northeast. Please staple both documents together and only put your name on the list of your extracurricular activities. See Mrs. Woodall for more information. Due back to Mrs. Woodall by April 13th.
Norfolk Noon Kiwanis Scholarship - A $500 scholarship to a student from Lutheran High Northeast. For more information and to get an application, See Mrs. Woodall. Applications are due back to Mrs. Woodall by April 10th!
Norfolk American Legion Post #16 Scholarship - This $500 scholarship will be awarded one-time only to be used during the first semester of enrollment immediately following graduation. It can be used at any accredited university, college, or state-approved vocational school of the student's choosing. Deadline for application is on or before APRIL 10th. MUST BE RETURNED TO MRS. WOODAL! If there is more than one qualified applicant, there will be alternate selected to receive the scholarship in the event that the winning student does not use it. Students must promote citizenship and community service, academic achievement (B- or higher average after 1st semester of senior year), high school leadership and activity success, write an essay of 100 words or less on "How I Believe I Can Contribute to the Strength and Betterment of America Today for All American Citizens" and provide any additional and important information for the selection committee to know. UNL On-Campus STEM Housing – Information - Nebraska Triangle has an On-Campus housing facility dedicated to STEM majors. It is a very comfortable place to spend time and a great place to call home. The cost of living there is significantly less as compared to other options, which include the lowest priced UNL – Traditional Residence Halls. Our residence is a family-like learning community ideally located on the UNL campus. The distance to class locations is well balanced, so your average walk is never too far. We are very close to the Student Union, the main library (Love Library), campus parking, and downtown Lincoln. In order to qualify, men must have declared a major in Engineering, Architecture, or the Sciences (including majors in Chemistry, Physics, the Biological Sciences, the Computer Sciences, Mathematics, and other related fields). UNL STEM Scholarship - For the 10th year, Nebraska Triangle will present scholarships to women and men planning to pursue their higher education within a qualified STEM academic field. The considered fields of study are: Engineering, Architecture, the Physical Sciences, the Biological Sciences, the Computer Sciences, and Mathematics; along with a few related fields. Any high school student who will be a freshman at UNL, during the Fall 2026 Semester, is eligible. Our scholarships will be awarded under the auspices of the University of Nebraska – Triangle Organization. We will award one $2,000 scholarship, along with multiple smaller scholarships. The application deadline is Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Interviews will begin in February. Scholarships will be presented at an awards dinner, details of which will be announced. Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District - The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District (LENRD) is offering up to 10, $500 scholarships to graduating High School Seniors within the District. These scholarships are available for students who are planning to further their education in a natural resources or agriculture related field. University of Nebraska at Kearney Opportunity Fund Scholarship - Instructions for applications: This scholarship has been established by UNK alumnus, the late Paul Wagner. It provides tuition for up to four years, eight semesters to one entering freshman student annually. To be considered for this scholarship you must not receive any academic scholarship from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Additionally, you must submit answers to the following two questions: Describe a challenge or obstacle you have overcome in your life. How has this experience influenced who you are today? How will enrolling and graduating from UNK help you achieve the goals you have for your future? Your answers for both should fit on one 8 l/2 X 11 page and should be sent to the Office of Financial Aid. Please indicate this is an application for the UNK Opportunity Fund. Also please include your name, email address and permanent home address on your application. Applications are due to this office by April 30, 2026. A committee will review your answers, and you will be notified of the committee’s decision in May. Kool-Aid Days Scholarship - The Kool-Aid Days Festival celebrates community, creativity, and the entrepreneurial spirit that started right here in Hastings — home of the original Kool-Aid invention! In keeping with that tradition, the Kool-Aid Days Committee is proud to offer the Kool-Aid Days Legacy Scholarship, designed to support students who embody innovation, leadership, and community pride. This scholarship recognizes students who are pursuing a degree in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field at a college or university in Nebraska. Through this award, we hope to invest in the next generation of dreamers and doers who, like Kool-Aid’s creator Edwin Perkins, turn big ideas into reality. Twelve (12) scholarships of $250 will be awarded for the 2026–2027 academic year. Funds will be paid directly to the recipients’ college or university. Applicants must: Be a current Nebraska high school senior or college student enrolled (or planning to enroll) at an accredited Nebraska college or university. Pursue a major or career path related to business, entrepreneurship, or marketing. Demonstrate involvement in community, leadership, or volunteer activities. Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. STANTON RIBFEST SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION - Stanton Ribfest will be awarding one $500 scholarship to a graduating seniorfrom a qualifying school based on the criteria below for essays submitted. 200-word limit and judging only essay, please do not include resume. What we need from you, to learn who you are: (hit a few key points that apply to you best) Cover sheet filled out. An essay that includes your point of view on... your most significant challenge that you have faced, and what you had to do to, overcome that challenge, an accomplishment you are most proud of, how these challenges and accomplishments have changed or added value to your life, your long-range goals and what you feel you need to do to be able to achieve them, your favorite community service experience, and/or your reason you feel you should receive the scholarship. Carriage House Foundation - The JOHNNY BAXTER CARRIAGE HOUSE FOUNDATION is pleased to announce the continuation of its scholarship program for students interested in attending one of Nebraska’s Community Colleges to study in an automotive related field. A $2,000 grant will be awarded in each of the six Community College areas in Nebraska for students pursuing training for an automotive career. Students who meet the following criteria may submit the attached application form:
1. All seniors planning to attend a Nebraska Community College in the fall of 2025.
2. Applicant must be planning to enroll in one of the automotive related courses of study.
3. Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from at least one teacher describing the applicant’s aptitude and attitude and student must include a transcript of his/her grades.
4. Applicant must submit a cover letter to be attached to the applicant form indicating his/her interest in the automotive field and their plan for technical training.
5. An interview and reference letter from a New Car Dealer would be given additional consideration.
6. Applicant must meet the above criteria and submit his/her application to the Carriage House Foundation no later than Friday, April 4, 2025. See Mrs. Woodall for an application.
Nebraska School Counselor Association Scholarship - Scholarship Eligibility: Current High School Senior in a public or private Nebraska Secondary School, will attend an accredited post-secondary institution during the 2026-2027 School Year, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher at the end of 1st semester of 2025-2026 School Year, and the recommending counselor must be a current NSCA Member. Kids Change of Nebraska Scholarships - Kids’ Chance of Nebraska offers educational scholarships to help children pursue post-secondary goals when their family’s financial situation has been impacted by a serious or fatal workplace injury. The program supports eligible students—high school graduates or current students—whose parent was severely injured or killed on the job and whose family income was significantly affected. Scholarships can be used for vocational/technical school, community college, undergraduate, or graduate programs, and funds are paid directly to the institution for tuition, fees, or room and board. Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants – 2026 Scholarship Opportunity - The Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants is offering a scholarship opportunity for Nebraska high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college or university. Coyner & Donna Smith Diversity Scholarship - Lutheran Family Services is now accepting applications for the Coyner & Donna Smith Diversity Scholarship, a renewable award offering up to $60,000 to graduating Nebraska high school seniors from underrecognized communities facing financial barriers to higher education. Eligible students must graduate from a Nebraska high school and come from households with annual incomes under $75,000; there is no application fee, no SAT/ACT or GPA requirement, and funds may be used for any major at any accredited college, university, or trade school. Scholarships include up to $15,000 for four-year institutions and $12,500 for two-year or trade schools. Local 1005 Scholarship - Scholarship applications are open to any high school senior graduating from a high school within
the Elkhorn Valley Mutual Aid District. To include Norfolk, Wayne, Winside, Pierce, Battle Creek, Carroll, Hadar, Hoskins, Stanton, Madison, Meadow Grove, and Tilden. This scholarship must be used at Northeast Community College. This scholarship is valued at $500.00 for the 2025-2026 school year. The applicant’s name should not appear on the application form to insure impartiality in judging. Each applicant will be assigned a number by their high school counselor. The applications will be judged by a committee composed of Local 1005 Union Members. The applicant shall write a short essay on their personal plans and goals in the future. It shall be typed, double spaced, and a minimum of at least one page. This scholarship may be used for remission of tuition, fees, room, board, and/or books. The check shall be made payable to the recipient and to the college. The criteria for judging the applicants are as follows: The applicant’s cumulative grade point average (C average or above preferred), class rank, extracurricular activities, transcript, and essay. The applications shall be returned to the guidance office no later than April 15, 2026. An alternate winner will be named in case the winner decides not to attend college. D.J.'s Heroes Scholarship - Students must be nominated for this scholarship. All nominations are due by Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Up to sixteen students will be selected to receive a $12,000 scholarship—awarded as $3,000 annually for up to four years. Scholarship recipients will be honored at the D.J.’s Hero Awards Luncheon on April 28, 2026. If you would like to be considered for nomination, see Mrs. Woodall.
Yankton Medical Clinic Scholarship - We have been providing quality health care services to the residents of south-central and southeastern South Dakota and northeastern Nebraska for 80 years. We strive to meet the unique and increasing health care needs of our region because our commitment is to you and your family.
Through our strong desire to promote higher education and to provide resources for youth to seek higher education, we award several scholarships to students to be used for the educational costs of attending an institution of higher learning. The scholarships include the following: Five $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors within our service area majoring in a health care field with preference given to physician, nursing, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, laboratory techs, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, and radiology/diagnostic imaging fields. Please no dentistry, optometry, chiropractic, or massage therapy. One $1,000 scholarship to a currently enrolled college student majoring in: Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/language Therapy, Up to $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded to Pillar III medical students at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. Nebraska Press Association Foundation Scholarship - For 2026, the NPA Foundation will offer up to five (5) total (high school and collegiate) scholarships of $2,000 each. Eligible to apply are Nebraska high school graduates seeking to enroll (or already enrolled) at a Nebraska-based OR out-of-state college/university. Scholarships will be given to students with a specific interest in community-based print journalism OR agricultural communications. Special consideration will be given to essay question response and student’s involvement in their local community newspaper, or student newspaper. Christian Connector Scholarship Drawing - The Christian Connector has a $5,000 scholarship drawing. You can select to receive free information from over 90 of our Christian college partners. You can access the brief form at https://christianconnector.com/chs to request info and be automatically entered in our annual $5,000 Christian College Scholarship Drawing when you request information and indicate you're considering a Christian college. Mitchell Equipment Scholarship - $500 Scholarship Application Multi-County Eligibility Requirements 1. Applicants must be 2025-2026 graduates who are seeking to enroll in postsecondary technical colleges, state colleges, or universities. 2. This $500 scholarship is for students who currently reside in one of the following counties: Antelope, Boyd, Brown, Garfield, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Loup, Rock, Wheeler, Madison, Stanton, Platte, Cuming, Dodge, Nance, Merrick, Polk, Colfax, Boone, Pierce, and Butler. 3. Scholarships will be given to students with a specific interest in an agricultural related field of study and an interest in returning to the area after college completion. 4. The attached letter of recommendation form must accompany this application. 5. Selection is based on the student’s interest in Agriculture or an Ag-related f ield, an interest in returning to the north-central region of the state, and good citizenship in school and the community. 6. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the technical college, state college, or university and will be applied to second-semester tuition and/or fees. 7. The application must be filled out by the applicant and an essay must be provided (see page 2 of application). Susan T Buffett Scholarship - The Susan T. Buffett Foundation (STBF) has offered scholarships to college students in Nebraska for over 50 years. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to first-time freshmen entering college who live in Nebraska, graduate from a Nebraska high school (or GED) with plans to attend a Nebraska public college, and demonstrate financial need. There is a limited number of scholarships, so the Foundation is unable to provide awards to all eligible candidates. Click here to apply. The 2026 application deadline is February 1, 2026, before 5 pm CST/4 pm MST. Award decisions will be made before May 1st. Men's College Scholarship - Men are choosing paths other than college. To counter this trend, a diverse group of fraternity alumni founded the Men’s College Scholarship. The scholarship program annually awards more than 50 scholarships in increments of $500-$1,000 to inspire college attendance and academic success by young men. The scholarship is designed to identify and reward outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated an ability to excel in the fields of academics, extra-curricular school activities and community involvement. The scholarship is available to any male, graduating high school senior who is enrolling in a four-year undergraduate college program that commences in the fall. The scholarship is awarded through the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence, a registered 501(c)3 organization. Current or future membership in a fraternity is not required. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a graduating high school senior in the United States, Must be a male, Must have access to a U.S. bank account (for direct fund deposit if selected). Peter Kiewit Foundation Engineering Academy - The Peter Kiewit Foundation Engineering Academy at UNL seeks to recruit and retain all scholars in the program. Scholars must demonstrate interest and commitment to the advancement of women in engineering, computing, or construction. The Engineering Academy provides scholars who have financial need with the resources and support to pursue careers in engineering, computing, and construction to help shape the future workforce of Nebraska. It includes: Full Tuition & Fees up to 5 years, Room and board in university housing, A personal laptop, Textbooks paid in full, Professional Development funding, and $500 professional wardrobe stipend. Program qualifications: Must be admitted to the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln or the University of Nebraska at Omaha, must be a current high school senior graduating from a Nebraska high school, must complete the FAFSA or the Federal Student Aid Estimator to determine financial eligibility, and must complete the application to be considered. Nebraska Cooperative Council Foundation Scholarship Program - The Scholarship Program began with the 1993/94 academic year. Since that time 262 scholarships totaling $401,200 have been awarded to students. The funding for scholarships comes from investment income/interest from the Foundation’s scholarship endowment account. Student eligibility is restricted to sons/daughters of a parent/legal guardian who has been an active member, director, or employee for at least the prior three years of a cooperative which has been a member in good standing of the Council for at least five years. Scholarship committees at UNL, NCTA, and UNK make the selection of recipients based on criteria established for each scholarship. Annual Farmers Pride Scholarship - Famers Pride will award $500 schoalrships to eligible seniors from qualifying northeast Nebraska high schools. Eligibility - High school senior enrolling in an agriculture-related program at an accredited post-secondary Nebraska college and must be a high school graduating senior in Avon, Battle Creek, Bloomfield, Laurel, Lutheran High Northeast, Madison, Neligh-Oakdale, Newman Grove, Norfolk, Norfolk Catholic, Oakland, O’Neill, Osmond, Pierce, Plainview, Scribner/Snyder, or Summerland schools. Application Process - Student must complete application form and submit to Vocational Ag Instructor or Guidance Counselor of their school; no packets allowed: only applications with a typed one-page essay attached will be accepted; Ag Instructor/Guidance Counselor from each school will pick top two applications from that respective school and send to Farmers Pride by March 21, 2026. Farmers Pride will make final winner selections by April 1st. Scholarship payment will be made in January of 2027 (The student’s second semester of college). It will be paid by check to the winner’s school of choice following submitted record of enrollment from the fall semester. The record of enrollment is to be submitted by the student to Farmers Pride. UNK Nebraska Good Life Opportunities Program - The Nebraska Good Life Opportunities Program is a partnership between UNK and the UNO Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) program, designed for students who value public service and aspire to work in local, city and state government, and other public sector professions. This program offers a full-tuition scholarship at UNK, guaranteed admission into the UNO MPA program (provided minimum requirements are met), as well as numerous experiential learning and professional development opportunities. Great Plains Communications Scholarship - Are you a graduating senior and a customer of GPC? If so, you are eligible to apply for the Great Plains Communications Scholarship! We grant up to 21 scholarships to seniors in Nebraska and Indiana, with amounts ranging from $1000 to $5000. Scholarships are awarded on a one-time basis. JUNIORS! Greater Omaha-Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership, Inc. - MUST: be high school junior (class of 2027), have cumulative GPA 3.0, held/hold two leadership roles in which their peers or an adult leader chose them within the past two years in school, religious, or community sponsored organizations. Four individuals will be awarded a National Leadership Experience. $1,000 will be awarded to two "Youth Leaders of the Year". $500 Arnold Clark Photography scholarships are available as well. Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarship - The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is pleased to offer 26 different national scholarships for graduating high school seniors, and college, graduate and medical students through our online application portal for the upcoming academic year. Kearney KHOP Program - Please know that the deadline for the Kearney Law Opportunities Program (KLOP) scholarship at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is Saturday, November 15th. If you have any current seniors who might be interested in this program, please encourage them to apply. Here is a link to the application. Students must be admitted to UNK to apply. KLOP is a partnership between the University of Nebraska at Kearney and the University of Nebraska College of Law, designed to recruit students from rural Nebraska and prepare them to eventually return and practice law in rural Nebraska upon graduation from law school. It provides a full-tuition scholarship, a partial room scholarship, guaranteed admission into UNL Law (provided minimum requirements are met), as well as many other benefits.
Bill Lewis Scholarship - The Nebraska High School Officials Association is pleased to announce we will be awarding two $5,000 Bill Lewis Scholarships in the Spring of 2026. The deadline for applications is February 1st, 2026. Engler Entrepreneurship Program - The Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program at the University of NE-Lincoln has the mission “to embolden people on the courageous pursuit of their purpose through the art and practice of entrepreneurship.” The Engler program offers a 12 or 18 credit minor and is one of the most unique collegiate experiences available in the United States. We have built a culture that engages students from across the full spectrum of campus who desire to become job creators, engines of economic growth, and community builders. We have opened our scholarship application for the 26-27 academic year and we are hoping you can share this information with any students you think have entrepreneurial capacity, or interest in exploring entrepreneurship. They must have had FFA or 4-H involvement and plan to major in the College of Ag Sciences and Natural Resources in order to qualify. AvaCare Medical Scholarship - The AvaCare Medical Scholarship recognizes those who are working to better the lives of our customers, students who are pursuing a degree in the medical field, with a prize of $1000 toward college tuition. This scholarship is awarded annually to one submission that tells about an inspiring act of kindness. AvaCare Medical judges will choose five to ten finalists, whose work will then be posted on our website. Voting will be open for a limited time on the scholarship page, after which the winner will be chosen by our judges based on multiple factors including, in part, the number of votes. Applicants for the AvaCare Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Citizen of the United States or in possession of an Alien Registration Card
- High school senior or enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university
- Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, health law, etc.

Hastings College Scott Scholars Program - The Scott Scholars Program at Hastings College is designed to help develop the next generation of leaders for Nebraska and beyond. The program targets high achieving students pursuing studies in science- and business-related disciplines who are passionate about exploring their development and potential inside and outside of the classroom. The program, funded by the Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation, allows up to 15 incoming students each year to receive a renewable scholarship that covers 100 percent of tuition, fees and room and board — plus $2,000 in annual educational and experiential enrichment funding. OACCW College Scholarship 2026 - The Omaha Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (OACCW) will offer an annual scholarship to a female high school senior in the Archdiocese of Omaha in the amount of $750. 00. This scholarship serves to enlighten, inform, and inspire young Catholic women regarding the OACCW as the major organization of Catholic Women in the Omaha Archdiocese. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving high school senior woman who resides in or is affiliated with a parish within the Archdiocese of Omaha. See Mrs. Woodall for an application.
NE Eagle Scout Scholarship - The NE Eagle Scout Scholarship provides Eagle Scouts from Nebraska and from Harrison, Mills or Pottawattamie counties in Iowa scholarship funds to attend a post-secondary institution in the state of Nebraska. Students attending a two-year institution in Nebraska are eligible for up to $6,000 ($3,000 annually) and students attending a four-year institution in Nebraska are eligible for up to $12,000 ($3,000 annually). Letson Acacia Leadership Scholarships is a single-year scholarship awarded to 3 (1-$1,000 and 2-$500) incoming male freshmen at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln who display excellence in academics, motivation for personal success, and an interest in developing and applying leadership skills. The Walter Scott, Jr. Career Pathway Scholarship - The Walter Scott, Jr. Career Pathway Scholarship supports students pursuing up to a two-year degree in approved skilled and technical fields of study. This scholarship covers full tuition, fees, and room and board for four consecutive semesters. Fields of Study: Agriculture, Veterinary Technology, Pre-Engineering, Information Technology, and Health Information Management Systems. Scholarship Eligibility: High School Senior planning to enroll in a qualifying program of study at Northeast in Norfolk, Students must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, live on campus in a living-learning community and participate in programming, attend the Summer Bridge program prior to the start of the academic year, participate in a paid sponsorship, internship, or industry-aligned employment.
