Julian Wood - Creating Creative Computing

Julian has taught for 20 years across all year groups and is Deputy Headteacher in an Inner City Primary School in Sheffield. He is a passionate advocate of using technology to stimulate learning.

In 2010 he was awarded the Microsoft Innovative Educator award for using QR Codes to stimulate storytelling. Julian has been a CAS/DFE Computing Master Teacher since 2014, supporting Primary & Secondary Schools with the Computing Curriculum.

Making the Transition From Block to Text-based Coding

Josh is a 15 year old coder, passionate about sharing his skills with others. He is the creator of EduBlocks, a drag and drop version of Python 3 which allows students to learn the Python syntax with minimal errors, thus allowing younger children to access Python. This software is now being used in 120+ different countries by students and teachers alike. In 2017 he was awarded a John Pinner Award at PyCon Uk for his contribution to the coding community.
