Many colleges are test score optional and use other criteria to determine a student's admissibility. Students do not need to send their scores to these schools.
Colleges will accept either the SAT or the ACT when a score is required.
To be efficient we need to determine which test is stronger for each student.
Students take the PSAT in October and a full ACT in April through LFHS
If they take an ACT earlier in Junior year (by Dec. or Feb.) we can compare their results and focus on whichever test is best for the student.
We recommend 2-3 tests taken by Oct. of senior year.
In the fall of senior year, your counselor can assist in determining which scores to send with a student's application.
Start with a prep book with full length practice tests.
Take the free SAT/ACT tutoring offered by LFHS (this info is emailed to the junior families).
