An apprenticeship is an industry driven and highly valued career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction, and a portable, nationally-recognized credential. For most apprenticeships, you need to be 18 years of age or older. Each apprenticeship program’s sponsor also develops its own qualifications related to education and the ability to perform certain job functions.
