Students are expected to read for 20 minutes every night.  Most nights students will read a story of their choosing.  Some nights there will be assigned reading.  As parents and guardians, encourage students to carve some time in a place without distractions for a steady 20 minutes.  Reading grows our intelligence. 

I will also send students a homework log that will be checked on Monday.  The goal is for students to discuss what they learned during class at least twice during the week, including the weekend. Please initial the boxes when they share their learnings with you.
