Director’s Note

The essence of theater that captivates me most is the sheer artistry of play. When selecting a production, I sought a narrative that would allow us to truly indulge in the joy of play – as an ensemble, with the dialogue, and in the realm of design. Each member of our team has a unique opportunity to contribute, weaving their own threads into the tapestry of Peter and Wendy's timeless tale.

Our journey begins at a slumber party, a setting where friends unite to unlock the boundless potential of their imaginations, collectively crafting a play that transcends the ordinary. In this creative space, we embark on a transformation, shifting our imaginative energies to envision a world where the constraints of growing up simply cease to exist!

We invite you to journey with us back when you were little and would imagine so many different stories.  To a time when you felt you could fly around the world and meet mermaids or pirates.  We hope that you can share with us your happy thoughts and all the things that bring you joy!   We would like to fill the room with joy and imagination that will take you on adventures for years to come.

I am so thankful for such a great group of theater students and colleagues who bring this show to life.  The cast has spent many hours in rehearsal exploring imagery, reciting lines, and finding ways to fly.  I am in awe of all that their imagination has transpired.  Our crew has gone above and beyond to create a world of wonder and light.  Their hard work and collaboration have made the show come to life. To Chloe and Korneilusz, thank you for your passion for theater and for leading your peers in this adventure, you have made this show magical.  This show would have not been possible without the amazing theater staff that has guided our students and taken the time to make sure that the show comes to life.  Soozie, Lindsay, Lynette, and Gabe, I am honored to work with you on this production.  I can't begin to thank Frank Bavone for all of the support that he has provided for this production and the theater program as a whole.  

My own happy thoughts of my family, my puppy, and my husband.  You all support me in my flight and make all of my dreams come true and for that, I am forever thankful!
