As a way of introduction, I would like to tell you a little about myself. After transferring from Charleston County School District and teaching at Morningside Middle School ARMS Academy, I moved back to the Irmo area and taught at Harbison West Elementary. In fall of 2019 I transferred to Chapin Intermediate where I currently teach 5th math and science.
On a personal note, I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, exercising, and church activities. I am close to and enjoy spending free time with my family. My mother is a retired teacher and my sister is also a teacher in Clover. I have two older brothers, both currently live in Portland, Oregon. My brother has a son and daughter, both whom I love to pieces! I have lived in Irmo since 1988 and grew up in the District Five School system. After graduating from Dutch Fork High School, I attended Erskine College and graduated with my degree in Elementary Education. I married my wonderful husband, David Stevens, September 20th, 2014! In January of 2020 we welcomed our son into the family and enjoy watching him grow!
This year is going to be an exciting year where students will develop their natural thinking skills as we dig deeper into the state adopted standards together.
